  • Poon Hill Sunrise: It’s worth getting up early, at sunrise, to trek up to Poon Hill at 3,210 meters. The sunrise panoramic summit view of the Annapurnas and the ranges of Dhaulagiri, including Machhapuchhre, alias Fishtail Mountain, can only be forgotten.

Occasionally, it has even been described as the “Valley of Glaciers,” the Langtang Valley trek presents the ultimate blend of sheer natural landscape and the Tamang cultural heritage. For the truly adventurous, the Manaslu Circuit offers a challenging yet extremely worth-it trek through the 8th-highest peak of the world, the Mount Manaslu (8,163m). Less touristy than Annapurna or Everest, it offers a less touristy, more pristine Himalayan adventure through isolated villages and diverse landscapes.

  • Larkya La Pass:Crossing at the highest among the passes at 5,106m, it’s the most challenging bit, yet the Himalayan giants expansive views make it every step worthwhile along the trek.

6. Gokyo Lakes trek: The Turquoise Dreamland

Ideal Season: Spring (March-May) and Autumn (October-November)

A side excursion or extension of the standard EBC trek, the Gokyo Lakes trek ends up in a string of sparkling, clear iridescent turquoise iridescent glacial lakes of the Khumbu. It presents another viewpoint of the Everest area, sometimes less touristy, yet no less beautiful.
